Project Overview
Kronotrop is a specialty coffee brand renowned for its artisan approach and contemporary café environments. This project involved the fit-out of a new café unit designed to deliver an inviting atmosphere while meeting the technical demands of a high-traffic food and beverage space. The design needed to balance aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, including efficient ventilation, power distribution, and water systems to support continuous daily operations.

Our Role
TBK Projects was appointed to undertake the full Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) design, ensuring all building services complied with the landlord’s technical requirements and operational standards for a busy café environment. The project required careful coordination to accommodate espresso equipment, kitchen ventilation, and customer comfort systems within a compact space, without compromising on design quality or performance.

Key Services Provided

• Mechanical Design: Air-conditioning, ventilation, and extraction systems designed to maintain a comfortable indoor climate and comply with health and safety standards.

• Electrical Design: Lighting, small power, and distribution systems developed to support both front-of-house ambience and back-of-house operational efficiency.

• Public Health Design: Hot and cold-water systems and drainage designed for high-usage commercial café operations with full compliance to hygiene requirements.

• Technical Coordination: Close collaboration with the landlord, equipment suppliers, and design team to ensure all services were integrated and approved prior to installation.
